Saturday vintage beginner event starts @ noon.
Sunday Class A event starts @ 10AM.

We got off to a late start this morning so we only caught the last few riders going through the sections. We practiced walking through the sections to get the feel of following the markers and plan to enter as a beginner at the event in Strawberry next month. My friend has a '74 Suzuki 250 that he has done a beautiful job rebuilding, in fact almost so nice that I don't want to bang it on the rocks, and we're excited to give it a try soon.

The directions on the flyer said about .5 mile down a dirt road, I don't think it mentioned needing to turn in at the closed yellow gate so we went a little farther than we needed.




We arrived late but were able to catch some of the last riders finishing their sections. The first photo is an electric bike on battery power

As I was leaving after the awards were presented, I saw a nice boulder next to the road that I thought I could manage with my R1200R.

It was so hot in the valley we decided to stay up in the mountains for our return home, east of Modesto. We rode highway 89 to highway 4, over Ebbits pass to Angels Camp then south on 49 to Sonora.
