BMW Tech Day at Crash's

Soooooo, after being blinded by Crash's and Pongo's extreme brilliance, I decided I needed to light up or shut up.

With some coaching by Dan, I purchased the correct parts on the first try. Next step was to schedule time to install my sumptuous round orbs of lightitude.

I met Dan and Ralph at Alice's for breakfast, then zoomed down the road following Dan on a bumpy little Buell and Ralph on his soon to be ex-RT. Watching Dan carve the twisties on that stripped down Buell required some video (or photos), but sadly didn't get any. I only saw him briefly, as he quickly left me in his dust. I think I heard his maniacal laughter as it echoed through the redwoods. You'll just have to use your imagination

Before

And After

The craftsman at play

Installing integral components

Luckily for me, Ralph noticed I had a hole in my tank

The boyz hard at play

Ralph's bike is only prepared to do "stoppies" at this point

I couldn't stay to watch the continued carnage of Ralph's bike improvements, so I toddled home half lit, no wait, I was totally "lit" as I rode home I feel much safer now.

Where is the close up of the special custom duct tape?

Glad the lights are lit and the brake situation is resolved ... just a little more to go to get your GT up to LD standards.

She is a quick study. Notorious problem on the modern K Bike is a low battery makes the ABS lights on the dash act up. When I saw she had a Chinese battery, told her to upgrade to an Odyssey ... and suddenly the lights on her dash aren't wonky. I have been running them myself for years and have no complaints at all.

I have to admit it was a "Blast" in the tight twisty stuff, even way under sprung for me, way under powered for me, and way not ergonomic for me.
