Don't know if it is in the right place or not, but I am glad you posted it. Thanks, I will be watching. Maybe I can buy them dinner as they pass through.

Re: LONG AND EPIC scooter ride

I hope they realise that 150cc isn't big enough for the interstate in CA.

small detail sure, but big hitch if they hadn't planned for it....

Re: LONG AND EPIC scooter ride

Look at their route ... vague as hell ... more than likely on purpose ... and I hope they would do the coast instead of the hell we call HWY 5.

Re: LONG AND EPIC scooter ride

coast/hwy1 is the only way to go if you want to see stuff and experince things....if you just want to get there fast then I-5.

I posted on their route blog about the interstates...hope it helps

Re: LONG AND EPIC scooter ride

They better take a coastal route

Besides not enough CC's for the interstates or I-5

Re: LONG AND EPIC scooter ride

Interesting how many people are doing this sort of trip on small bikes and scooters.I saw a guy last year doing a similar trip on a small Honda step through ,I think it was 90cc, and another guy I read about was on a small scooter,I think he was on his second engine by the time he reached Mexico.I guess with something small and cheap,if it had a major breakdown you could dump it, unlike a larger and more expensive machine.I guess if you have lots and lots of time and patiance of Jobe, anything is possible.

Small, manual shifty scooter....That really wold put the adventure in adventure riding.

Bajaj 4 strokers like the chetak (from what gathered around the scooter boards) tend to be underpowered in hp, but pretty rugged otherwise. Parts might harder to find in the US than in the rest of the world.
