I've only eaten there once. The food is mainly good old-fashioned American. Burgers n' frys for the most part, which is what I had. I had no complaints, other than being a bit on the pricy side.

Re: going to alices this sunday

You want to go there to look at all the bikes. Most of which are parked across the street at the little market. Pay attention both coming and going. Look in your mirrors.

Thats exactly what all the hype is about. I've been riding in that area for years and wasted more time than I care to admit hanging out at that intersection before I ever actually ate at Alices. I did it just so I can say that I did
I'm sure you'll have a good ride, there are some excellent roads in the area. Just be aware of all the christmas tree shoppers along Skyline (35).

Drew - here is an online menu to check out for the eat's. I've only eaten there a couple of times and it was okay for a sandwich/hamburger place, but do ride the roads throughout the area frequently. You should be able to build a nice route for a great day ride.

Have a great day.

I was at Alices recently , the place is very busy on the weekend other than that a good meal.
The Prime Rib sandwhich is a must try.
BTW : Dress Warm its cold as hell on the roads up there this time of year .

The Eric Bostrum?
(bet you get asked that often... huh)

Not only can (does) it get cold up there but the roads have a tendency to hold water/dampness and get pretty slippery. Especially under tree's where the sun doesn't have a chance to dry the roads up. Also be very vigilant and on the look out for the pine needles that can cover the road on windy days. These too can be quite slippery.

If you get anywhere near the (many) christmas tree farms up there be very careful as many of these have dirt parking... which means the cars exiting leave a dirt/mud trail out onto the road.

Also...
Yeah... the show is mostly across the street from Alices at the Sierra Trading Post (STP for short).
On most weekends you can spend quite a bit of time checking out the many types of bikes that show up there.
It's fun and interesting, but not as much so as riding all the many varieties of roads to be found in the Santa Cruz Mountains!
(it's practically my back yard)

John
