New toy
Just picked up a used Cannon digital rebel. The first version. I guess a guy traded it in on the D-20. While I would like a D-20, for the price of the rebel I couldn't pass it up. Being a cheap bastard I like to get things used if possable. Yea the new version has 2 more megapixels and is a little faster, but to be honest I am not sure how often if ever I would use them.

Re: New toy
Very cool John - always fun to play with a new camera, and try and capture what you see with your eyes on film. Since I know very little about cameras, I have a tendency to just buy what the other guy has once I've seen couple of their shots.
Keep us posted on how you like the camera.

I have one of those too which I came by by way of a most generous bennifactor (Dude, Laguna's comming!!)
There is so much more control over the shot than with my point-and-shoot. Enjoy and merry Christmas! J
