My second attempt at video

My buddy and I made this while hitting some local roads. Hwys 38, 74, 243, Big Pine Canyon for those of you in So Cal. I only had Windows Moviemaker to work with at the time. Hope you like it. Oh, and any tips you might have please, fire away.

That was great ... if that is your first try, can't wait for a few more! Nice job.

Wow! Very nice... Don? Sean?

Must have taken a loooot of time to cut that. But moved along really well, nothing too long and some excellent angles there. Nice job!

Re: My second attempt at video

Thanks ya'll, glad you enjoyed it. I aquired Pinnacle Studio 8 so I'll try that out soon. I don't do this enough to drop big bucks on software yet. I am enjoying it so far though. Thanks again snd keep the feed back coming!

Re: My second attempt at video

Great work guys - good sampling of SoCal roads! I like the cutting and the movement through the vid- you keep it going fading back and forth, curves, straights, good views, front view, back view! One thing you could also intersperse in there if you want to show the region a bit more is some pan shots of the view- which you can quickly tell are fantastic to the side of the road. Throw in some credits of the roads that you covered too- I'm archiving this sort of thing for a rainy day. Love to add this vid to the applicable CA Moto Roads page too.

Re: My second attempt at video

Sure thing! I'm going to try some panning shots and different camera angles. We should be getting another bullet cam soon. That will make things a lot easier as far as on board shots.

If you want a better version I could send you a disk. It's in WMV format.

Re: My second attempt at video

fan-freggin-tastic! i loved the part where the dude on the SV was bobbing his head, as if with the music. that made me laugh for almost the rest of the video. haha!

whoever was riding the blue bike has some really good lines. especially through some of those left handers. the SV guy was cutting em a little tight on the lefties...but i find myself guilty of that sometimes too.

great vid. i look forward to seeing more.

also, pinnacle studio sucks... Sony Vegas 6 is available for download, free, from the sony website here. it's the best video editing software i've ever found (not including final cut pro, which owns...but it's for a mac).

pm or IM (aim) me if you have any questions.
