My first Spring ride of 2006

For almost 2 months, I haven't had the opportunity to go for a ride due to the rainy weather we have had. During this time period, I actually lost all desire to ride. Today, I discovered a camera with film in it. I decided to take one of my bikes out and photograph the wildflower trail. I have to admit, my first thought was to cage it. Being out on that motorcycle was therapeutic.

Anyway, here are some of the photos I took. I actually only stopped at 2 places for photo ops. The rest of the time, I just spent riding.

Some great shots.

Glad to hear you didn't give up the riding. I did when my first daughter was born. I gave it up for over 10 years. Not until I got back into it did I realize how therapeutic it was for me.

Here is a map of the route I took. Approximately 60 miles round trip.

That is a sweet route, right in your own backyard.

Thanks for the complement. Yesterday was a gorgeous day. I thought to myself, I should go for a ride. Then, I thought, I don't want to ride anymore. Today, I forced myself and I'm glad I did.

Re: My first Spring ride of 2006

Jim,
Nice work on that video !!

Also glad to see you got back on the bike , and that it put a smile back on your face ..which is what it is all about .
We don't always have the perfect bike ride , but for most of us , just being out there is good enough .
I hope you get many more happy riding miles under your belt .

Safe riding

Steve

Jim, that was a great photo spread and a great looking bike. There are just times when it all comes together. It looks like that was one of those times for you. Keep on riding.....and riding....

Steve: when I arrived home and got off the bike, I thought that was a nice ride. I was glad that I didn't cage it.
