Twisty Roads and Waterfalls

I took a 70 mile ride today over Wolf Creek Road (conservative estimate is 80 twisties in 12 miles...couldn't seem to count 'em accurately ) followed by about 30 miles over Siuslaw River Rd. (Siuslaw River Rd itself is a 45 mile long road connecting Hwy 126 to Territorial Hwy just north of the Douglas County line).

My main mission was scouting out Siuslaw Falls, which would be part of a 3 waterfall tour that I'd like to put together. Almost no traffic on the road, and I had the falls all to myself.

This starts above the falls, where there is a nice swimming hole, then follows down to the falls. The lighting wasn't the best for photos, as it was just about noon-thirty.

It was a wonderful day, and a great next chapter in my chemo-moto therapy. Keeping myself healthy and well while I fight the battle!

Ally, with therapy like that, you'll be well in no time. The soothing sound of a waterfall is a must-do. What could be better. I think you should spend more time not only riding, but hanging out and relaxing to the beautiful sound of the healing waters. What a gorgeous day. Get healthy my friend.

Re: Twisty Roads and Waterfalls

As I work in a very hot building around machinery, heat and noise, I look at those cool fefreshing water falls and just imagine sitting there cooling off.
Thanks for the cyber therapy.

Really nice pics, and that water looks so inviting...is it warm enough to swim in yet? Here in NorCal all of my favorite swimming holes are still too cold...talk about shrinkage

Ally: Great photos. That water looked so tempting. It's been hot here in central Ca. I'm surprised you didn't try that swing.

Cold or not, I just want to sit myself down in the middle of that one and enjoy the peace.
