I drove thru glendale to highway 2. i was planning to ride all the way to big bear, but the road was closed because of some endangered frog

but it was a really cool ride. if anyone wants to ride it sometime, let me know.

The Crest hasn't been open all the way for years. Seems there is a different reason each year. It did open for a couple weeks a year or two back. Here is a very nice detour, although the backside through Valyermo is hot during the summer.

My old stompin grounds. I grew up in Tujunga until high school. Then it was the Bay Area until 1990.
I spent many a day in the canyons hiking 'N' fishing.
What a great place to be FROM.

Those were some nice photos. What happened to have your bike laying on it's side?

Re: Highway 2, los angeles crest state park

For 3 out of the 5 years I worked at JPL (88 to 93) and lived in Palmdale, I rode the Angeles Crest and Forest hwys. I did that on a '85 Honda VF700 Sabre with bias ply tires. I wore out the front tires two to one of the rear tires!

Since then I have learned two things. The Sabres run much better with Radials and the other is that my ST is a whole lot better!
