Dead Indian Memorial Road - Southern Oregon
Dead Indian Memorial Road runs east from Ashland/I-5 and climbs from ~1800 feet to over 4,000 feet in the first 15 miles. This is a sample:
1. Mt. Ashland's ski runs in the distance... 2. Hairpin, anyone? 3. Yes, it's the same road! 4. After the hairpin... more curves! 5. Looking back... |

Lewis - Awesome pics!
I did a custom trip itinerary last summer for some riders and routed them right up this road on their way to Crater Lake!

Thanks, Tim. A couple of us rode up past Crater Lake and looped back on Hwy 62 last Tuesday. I've got to learn how to manipulate the camera in heavy gloves; there were some good shots of the bikes riding on dry road with close to 6' of snow on either side of the road, but no place to stop!

Agreed this is a nice ride. You may want to check out 128 from Cloverdale to ~ Fort Bragg as well it is kind of like this ride.
