You know, I was just thinking and looking at those pics and wondering, does anybody happen to have any "before" pics? Might be interesting to see what the mountain side and river area looked like before the slide took out the road.

I heard today it's still falling. Unstable. Therefore Caltrans isn't going to touch it until it stops.
Hmmmm.... might make a great playground from El Portal to the slide and back.... maybe even the Mariposa side within reason.... some Isle of Man practice? No traffic! You didn't read this here, folks... |
