Ol' Steve is out of shape and paying for it with memory lapses in his flight. I doubt any of us would fare much better though. I'd still do it in a heart beat!
The fighter jocks are just plain tough and physically fit bunch. We have an F4 jock at work, about my age. Dude runs with the academy classes (they are always smoked by him). He is about 1 year away from retirement and still on the SWAT team (THAT is an accomplishment). Guess he never lost the love of being fit. |
