I'm impressed. You're a new rider and you have ridden some serious miles. Your photos are nice. Keep up the good work.

33 is one awesome road with pretty much every type of corner there is. Since you were in the area, did you also try Lockwood Valley?

Where is Lockwood Valley? I don't think we did go there. My riding buddy is not familiar with the area, so we just look at the map and follow the direction of the officer who gave us speeding tickets. He is a cool officer. He reccomended us to go to nice roads to ride with no cops around. hahha....

Lockwood Valley connects to 33 a bit more than halfway up if you're riding North right before 33 straightens out. There will be a sign saying Lockwood Valley. In fact, Lockwood Valley connects to Cerro Noroeste, which is another awesome road (probably better than Lockwood actually). If you're ever down in the area again, I can give you pointers, but I won't ride with you up there, since, well, I'm a driver not a rider. (Don't tear me apart guys, I still revel in the beauty of the mountain road.) Also, I'm moving up to Fremont in a month, so I'll need pointers there.

I live in Fremont. Not much things here in Fremont, it's a bedroom community. Meaning everyone goes to bed by 9pm haha....

I'll be working for Acorn Product Development (which as I understand it is right on the edge of Newark). Not having that much to do doesn't bother me as much since I'm from LA and I'd actually prefer where I live to be quiet. If I want to do something, I wouldn't mind traveling to it. Is the area safe? Also, what are my chances of getting a one bedroom or studio apartment with a garage; I really want my own garage.

Yeah...Newark and Fremont is just 5 miles away. There are apartments in Stevenson Blvd, Fremont Blvd. THe only thing is most of them are garageless. You have to rent a townhouse or a house. I have my eyes open if there is apartment with garage available for rent. Perhaps, craiglist?

Did this one yesterday, Sat, with about 18 bikes. Crosses the water a few times, and there's one gravel strech right out of a left corner. Other than that, it's a good road with a few "slow to 10" turns. Never saw a CHP on our trip. Taco Salad at the truck stop is good.

For an even more better ride, continue up Hwy 33 to Hwy 58 and head west to Santa Marqurita. 70 miles of pure open space. If you want to go fast, open space is good. Watch for twisties here and there.
