Texas all the way back to the Island? Looks like you were travelling purty light! lol... Well, on the 51 it would be a fast trip! Great looking bike. I love those RC51's. I want one!

Yeah, I was travelling light after all my gear (helmet, backpack, jacket, tent etc etc) got stolen at the grand canyon but it's all good

OMFG! Sorry to hear that! I am off on another 5 week odessy in a few weeks... thinking of heading down California way and Nevada , New Mexico etc... I'll be really watchful. I am trying to solve my current luggage dilema... all the stuff I had for my CBR 600 F4i.... well, just doesn't fit on the 1000RR. I would love hardbags but ST'ing is only 30% of my annual mileage so I need to make do with the soft, unlockable stuff.

How long did the trip take you?

P.S. What are those CF cans? They look sweet
