Re: My V-Strom setup for Alaska...

Probably won't be posting pics during the trip, but I hope to setup a web site after I return with a full travel log and tons of pics, and maybe even a few video clips...

How long will you be in Alaska?
I'm going to cruise up there on a ship (the Regal Princess) on July 15th from San Francisco. I'll actually be in Ketchikan on the 19th, Juneau on the 20th and Skagway on the 21st.

Re: My V-Strom setup for Alaska...

Chip it looks like a great setup!

Looking forward to your trip report as I am contemplating a roundtrip next year from my driveway, jump in Prudhoe Bay, stop back at the house, say hi to the wife and kid, then go jump in the warmer waters off the tip of Baja, then back home.

Particularly interested in what you found out that you were missing if anything.

I'm not going to ride the Busa, thinking Strom or R1200GSA.
I love the thought of a 450 miles cruising range...

Hey, I was just in Templeton on Monday.
Checking out wineries and roads for an upcoming event.

Good luck on your trip!

How far north are you heading? I would at have to have my picture taken next to the Arctic Circle sign on the Dalton Highway.
