My First photo ride!!
Ok, The pictures arn't the best, but here's my first photo ride!!
This is along the Sacramento River on Garden Hwy.       This picture below, I was trying to get the old dock thingy across the river as the main subject, ended up with the front of the scoot insted! I remembered further down the road that I was supposed to focus on the dock, and depress the button half way then move the camera to the bike and take the picture!!! Maybe next time I'll remember in time!!!  From the non river side!!   This is on Elverta Rd. by the airport!    This was about a 60 mile ride!!!! It's the first time I've gone out by myself for that long of a ride(with camera too)!! (besides riding to work everyday!!) I really enjoyed myself. This site has inspired me to do more pleasure/photo rides!!!! Kim |

hey nice pix ,that sure looks like a nice place there and seeing the planes like that reminds me of those shots you see of the ships going through the suez canal taken from the desert.

Nice pictures. Your next trip should be down hwy 160. That's a nice ride also. Stop at Locke and have a cold one at Al the Wop. Than you'll pass right by my aunt's place in Walnut Grove, a few buildings after the pizza place.

WTG!! Congrats on your first big outing. Next thing you know you will be doing major touring. I ride alone alot mostly because I live so far away from friends who ride.

 Sofadv, I'm definatly going to go check out 160! I'm going to go look at a map to plan out a route now!!! Although don't know when I'll get to go again!! Maybe tomorrow? As soon as I can for sure though!!FishWitch, back when my husband first got me into riding, we used to go to the Redwood Run, till it got too expensive!! We also did probably 2 whole spur of the moment rides. He wasn't into riding like I am! He is all work and hardly any play! I'm going to try to change that once we get him another bike!! (Sold all the HD's, my scooter is the only bike left.) Jester, I just look at some of the photos you guys post and think, Wow, those are great and the clarity in some are spectacular. Some of mine just don't seem to have that "Wow" factor!!! I'm working on it though!!!! I sure did enjoy the ride today. It was alot more fun trying to find spots to take pictures!!! I think I have a new hobby now!!!  Kim |
