7/24 Server Issues: It's Pash NOT, instead of Pashnit.

Got back from Laguna Seca MotoGP (90 degrees at midnight, riding bike home in full leathers

) and logged on about 1am and server was going nutty. By 2am, site had shut off. Called IT but while on hold, fell asleep, and gave up at 2:30.

Seems some server side upgrades shut the site off, but we finally muddled through it, trial and error diagnosing. Thanks a million to my dedicated administrators who volunteer their time to help me out in these mini-crisis and figure out a solution.

Get to the Laguna pictures soon enough.

Still getting database errors! I hate that.

okay, site was working just fine around 8pm, now getting all sort of error messages.

If you see this- refreshing seems to bring everything up. Not sure if this is on the server side, or problem with the pashnit site. Problem we had this morning got fixed.

Tim, I just noticed the little smiley guy at the start of the thread. The one getting slugged by the fist in the 'puter. Please don't make me laugh that hard this early in the morning, it scares the begeezus out of the girlfriend and her kids

still having issues! last 2 nights at about this time keep getting this message...

k guys- just happened again. I know what the problem is and I'm going to have to work as quickly as we can to fix it. Basically in a nutshell, I'm only allowed so many 'queries' per hour on this server configuration and I'm beginning to exceed that. When it happens, the server automatically shuts the site down and I have to call IT in a panic to have them reset it. Basically the forum usage is getting so great, it's overloading the server. We already began working on a fix with a new server 2 months ago, but we're not moving fast enough- forum usage is growing exponentially. Stay tuned and no, not going anywhere. Can't get rid of me that easy.

Yep, just did it to me again about 20 min. ago! Working ok for the time being though!!

I'm sure glad you are working as fast as you can though Tim!! I'm seriously haveing withdrawls when it doesn't work!! I sit here thinking to myself, "now what am I going to do?"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
