Thanks guys. I've put that thing in places that would make some men squeal like a pig. Sounds like it's not a problem. I'll discuss it with my wife but it looks like our family of 4 will be there this year. Looking forward to meeting more of the Pashnit crew.

Nope, no hot tub here.........yet! maybe a little while down the road. I can say there have been modifications to the plumbing though!

This is an odd sort of sneaky hijack of a Fall gathering thread...one would have to go back many posts to see where this tangent got started!

The wife has decided to pass this time around and my sons feet don't reach the foot pegs so I will be riding solo to the gathering Saturday morning on the 28th.
If anyone wants to ride up together, give a hollar.

After talking to my GF, Ladywulf, and having slabbed it to the Reno air races yesterday, I was thinking of a better route to take and I think I found it. At least the beginning part of the route anyway:

CA 70 East to CA 89 Approx 20 miles

CA 89 South through Truckee and around the western side of Lake Tahoe to CA 88, Approx 105 miles

CA 88 to Omo Ranch Road, Approx 44 Miles


Approx Distance from Quincy to Omo Ranch Rd 170 miles and I bet they are a lot more fun to ride than taking 395 south all the way thru Reno!

If OddBall One rides with me as we plan, we'll probably have to make a fuel stop in Truckee for him......Syd, you catching this? Wanna join up with us and ride the rest of the way?

Still need to figure out a launch time from Quincy, but I'm gonna shoot for around 10AM.

From Quincy go to Hwy 89 towards Sierraville. (Watch your speed through there) and on into Truckee. Then continue down 89 around the west shore (Emerald Bay) into South Shore to Meyers and Hwy 88/

MUCH nicer than 395! ANd about the same distance.

Sorry Ray, The 27th is my birthday and going to meet a friend part way from LA and ride from there but will catch up for sure there.

What you have in your quote is the 1st route I had. We are now planning on riding 89 through Truckee and on to 88. Thanks for the heads up about Sierraville.

Hi Ray,

I just rode up to Quincy today for the Beemer Bash and then back home. Great riding today; I really like riding 89 from Graeagle thru Sierraville (killer Chorizo con huevos at Dos Hermanos Restaurant), and then bypassed Truckee to Kings Beach, Incline, and 50 to Carson City/Minden. I also rode down to La Porte and back today...great ride!!!
