Pashnit Server Issue Updates

Hi Everyone
Ok, here is some update info;

We have reached the point where most everything is working, lots of clean up has been accomplished and there is still some going on in the background.

Things still broken----------------
* Article posting - Just Fixed
* Images within the article - Fixed
*Article Image
Working on this one, hope to have it resolved next week.

* There are some posts that have broken image links. From everything I
can tell the Data Base Export we got from the previous hosting company
has some small amount of corruption in it. We did not discover that
initially with all the other issues.

Next update will be early next week. I'm going for a ride

Have a great week end!

Bill

Re: Pashnit Server Issue Updates

I have to say as an IT guy myself the transition seemed pretty smooth. Thanks for all of the hard work and the updates.

Re: Pashnit Server Issue Updates

I just want to publically acknowledge the hard work of the entire team. Most of the time this team just hides in the background and keeps everything running smoothly.

FD929, Ben, is half way around the world in a war zone (Iraq) and somehow manages to appear at just the right time on line & keep solving the tough issues. His knowledge of the site is invaluable to all of us.

Ben - our thoughts & prayers go out to you every day to keep you safe in the environment you are in.

Gary, well it's just Gary, the Playground Monitor. Without Gary keeping us on our toes we might have missed things. Gary knows the posts, & has just stayed in my face going --- it's not really fixed yet --- with him doing that it makes us think again and go dig for the solution.

Then there is Pashnit - where is he, anyone know? I do! He is out on the road on a new Buell Ulysses having fun. I'm sure he will tell us about it.

Tim has been great through this, patience is one of his strong points. He is there with all the questions & answers when I have needed them.

So -- this has been a great team effort to move this site & I thank each one of you for your support.

There are two others I will mention even though they don't ride & don't read the posts. That's Paulo & Ken. Paulo is the best Systems Guy I have ever met. Ken is a great content developer and may be helping Tim give the site a new look in the future. Paulo & Ken work with me & have been a tremendous help in getting the new server running and the site up & running.
