The Dragoon Trail

Thought I'd share some photos of my home rides in central Iowa, pics are from along the Des Moines river just north of Des Moines, its not the west coast or over seas but still kinda cool. Hope you like.

No post of IA would be complete w/o corn.

Nice pics of your area. I don't know why, but when I saw the photo of the house, I thought of Forest Gump.

Re: The Dragoon Trail

This road is concrete, it undulates at short evenly spaced intervals a good/bad place to test your steering damper or lack thereof.

I like it a lot, actually its an s or sport. Its the dark ss meaning less $$, it has cheapo suspension, steel swingarm, flat black paint and 1 s.

I have rode a friends 250 ninja a several times a few years ago, they are sweet rides. One of the best kept secrets of motorcycling I think! how are you liking it?

Re: The Dragoon Trail

Its a great bike. I've put 3200 miles on it since new, June 21st. I commute to work and it does an awesome job on the interstate.

Re: The Dragoon Trail

Nice pics Todd, I must revise my opinion of Iowa Roads, it appears you do have inclines and curves while I thought it was all flat and filled with rows of corn ...

Re: The Dragoon Trail

That`s not the "real" Dragoon Trail, thats the Alternate Dragoon Trail for the non-dirt worthy types. The "real" Dragoon Trail is a 200 mile long gravel road that runs right beside the Des Moines River. The only worthy part runs from north of Des Moines to Fort Dodge,IA a distance of 100 miles. Here`s a few pics of my exploitatations.
Hey Todd, where the hell you`ve been? Havent seen you for two years or so.
This is Kyle, brother of GT`s and freind of Big Brad (RIP). Brad ate it last month, we went on vacation to Yellowstone and he hit a semi in Montana on our way back home. Fell asleep I guess?

Brad, about four hours before his accident on our way home.
