A little late, Labor Day, AZ

Yeah, been meaning to put these up. Well these are shots from our Labor Day excursion. Had a group of six bikes, including my parents who came in for the weekend, so that was nice. Pretty good ride, it didn't go exactly to plan but was still nice. We cut out the 260/87 portion because of time commitments but all in all it was fun.

The second shot I was waiting for Malina to get on, but she was waiting for me to pull out so she could get the shot. It was a mexican stare down, even with the mirrored shield she won.

We headed out I-10 to ride Vulture Mine Rd into Wickenburg. If you have a bike that you want to stretch out, this is the road to do it. Police presence is extremely low, and there are a couple of mile long straights. Just don't do your high speed run at dusk or dawn, there are deer out here.

But Vulture Mine isn't just Busa runs, it has a decent little twisty section, and lots of roller coaster hills. Unfortunately the low sections cross washes, where the previous night's thunderstorm decided to dump dirt all over the road.

Ever wonder how Malina gets those great on-board shots?

After Vulture Mine, it was the hill climb at Yarnell, I think Malina was holding on besides taking pictures here. But she did get a good shot of the hill when we were approaching it.

Prescott Rd, 89A, White Spur Rd, different names for fantastic. Especially the approach to the twisty bits starting in Wilhoit.

Once again, Malina's enjoying the ride and not shooting, but she did manage to squeeze these out.

Re: A little late, Labor Day, AZ

Usually it's a stop in Prescott to walk around the square and grab something to eat. But alas we have places to go, so we bypass Whiskey Row and head to Jerome.

89A going over Mingus Mtn to Jerome is a repave from being great. The storms the night before cleaned it up a little, but there's still a lot of gravel on the road.

The best thing about this road is when you are about 6 miles outside of Jerome. Here you see the Sedona Red rocks in panaroma. Unfortunatetly I don't have panaroma on my camera, but you'll get the idea.
