Jay Leno and the cop

Now, some of you may know this already, but Jay Leno is one of the few, the proud, the truly insane. He owns a Y2K jet turbine bike.

Well, one fine summer day he decided to take this bike out into the desert and really wind it up, see how fast he could get the bike to go.

So he's tooling along the freeway, nice conservative speed (95mph) and he gets lit up by a CHP officer on a BMW.

And that's when Jay Leno's personal demon told him NOW would be a good time to test the bike. And so he did. There was a nice straight even stretch of freeway in front of him, it was devoid of traffic, so he gave that throttle a nice big TWIST and held on.

A couple of seconds later the turbine spooled up, and Jay shot forward like being launched off a carrier.

A little while later, he backed off, looked at the rearview display, hrm, no cop. Well, THAT was fun. best head back and apologize to the officer at least.

He gets back to about where he wicked on the throttle, and he finds BMW bike parts scattered all over the road. So he stops, takes his helmet off, starts looking around.. and discoveres a CHP officer struggling to his feet off in the brush.

"Oh man, what the hell happened to you? you OK, officer?"

"Shit if I know, I was about to pull over this guy on a sportbike, and next thing I know, my bike has conked out, so I got off to see what was wrong with it."
