Luggage for S2R 800 Ducati Monster?

Hi,

I'm looking for anyone whose actually used luggage on a Ducati Monster S2R. The high twin pipes on the right side negate using conventional saddle bags.
I'll need enough room for 7 days of travel.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Ara

That's a tough one. Killer Bike though. I would suggest a tail bag in combination with a tank bag. I think RKA makes the best tail bags. I have one on my Sv650 and I love it. As far as tank bags go I would go to your local dealer and try a bunch on and see what fits best. Remember luggage will drastically change the way your bike looks, so try to set that aside when picking your luggage. Function is more important than looks. Good luck with the search.

I've got pretty high pipes on my old Daytona and found that the Oxford Humpback panniers work really well. They expand for additioal carrying, but can be zipped up for a sleeker look. http://www.lockitt.com/OxfordluggageHumpback.htm
I don't usually use a tail bag, but found that the Cortech bag can easily be adapted to the Oxford panniers if you really want a lot of carrying capacity.

If you can, go to the Bike Show and ask the vendors there the same question.
