I'd say they've been sharpened up quite a bit and and the saturation was cranked up a bit in certain areas, but stunning pics none the less.

Is it possible that the photos are also a bit sharper because of the quality of the air at that altitude ?

I think it is impossible to get shots that clear without that clear air. The altitude does help, but dry air is also an aid for clarity. On certain days, you can get those kind of views from lower altitudes, but not very often.

The clarity I'm sure is natural but the sharpness looks cranked up to me. The lines around some of the clouds and other objects have an unnaturally high contrast to them. Normally light bends slightly around the edges under those conditions creating a softer line. But... I've never taken pics in New Delhi before so what do I know.
