November 20th Ride?

Hey All,

Winter is here and I'm done with the Sierra until all that crazy white stuff is gone. I like to ride the coast in the winter. One ride I haven't done lately is between Bodega Bay and either Elk or the 128 turnoff. Breakfast at Original Marvin's in Petaluma and lunch in Boonville.

I'm planning on good weather for the 20th. 1

Any interest?

Re: November 20th Ride?

OK, I'll give a tentative yes. I'm still at work so don't know if anything is going on that weekend.

Might peel of at Cloverdale and go back over Hwy175 to home though. When's breakfast?

I didn't know Pashnit had his own forum . When did this happen . And rather sneaky to get me to register so I could read the route map.

Vince

Oooh there is your avatar at the bottom of the page

Great Vince!

Let's keep the weather Gods happy and ride the coast on the 20th.

How about this for breakfast?

Did you get my email? Your DVD is done. You're going to like it a lot. Should I drop it in the mail or bring it on the 20th? You know how trustworthy the mail is....................

Re: November 20th Ride?

8:30 works for me. Will put me out of the house around the same time as the last ride. Supposed to be dry the day before so should make good time down Hwy29.

The JR Revolution pants showed up while I was in SF so this'll be a good ops ck for them. Hopefully my Trekker jacket can keep up with them.

Sue ate the piece of chicken I brought home for dinner that nite. She agreed GOOD STUFF.

Yea, I know how iffy the mail is, better hang on to it for a hand delivery. You got complimented on BARF for the LaPort video that you put here. Sue called my office in the city and had me e-mail her a link so she could show it off at her work, being on a T-1 line must be nice!!!

Re: November 20th Ride?

Wow! I'd be there in a second if I wasn't stuck working in San Diego ... bummer! I grew up in Booneville (with or without the first 'e', it varies from decade to decade) and graduated from High School there. That route is incredible, lovely, challenging, rewarding, I'm a broken record but do so wish I could be there next weekend. BTW, my brother lives about six blocks from Marvin's in Petaluma, but alas he is on vacation in Thailand and his FZ1 is laid up at my house in Petaluma.

Sure hope to be able to ride with you guys when I'm home at the end of the year.

Halfwing doesn't let dust gather on his ST1100 and as he is the instigator of this ride its a safe bet there will be a next time.

Hello Everybody!

First of all, I have to congratulate you on a wonderful website! I've planned many trips with the information posted. Thank you!

I'm not sure if this ride happened yesterday, but I did the Berryessa run yesterday with a few buddies of mine. The wind was pretty nasty the first and last leg of the trip, but we still had an excellent time.

We left Sacramento, headed down 80 to 113 in Davis, hit Russell Road and followed it to 128. We played along the lake, had a blast in the twisties, and took a lot of chances to pull over and enjoy the beauty of Berryessa. We made our way up to Middletown, headed north into Lower Lake and eventually made oury way out to Hwy 16. We stopped at Cashe Creek Casino and were flooded by a sea of Harley riders. There were at LEAST 500 bikes in that parking lot. It was pretty incredible.

It was a great ride. Pashnit, thank you for maintaining your site as well as you do. Theres a lot of good information out there and a lot of good rides.

Ride safe, keep the rubber side down...

Re: November 20th Ride?

Hi Jenn,

Vince and I made it yesterday. HERE'S a short ride report and HERE'S the video.

It sounds like you rode some nice roads too. I caught that wind as we got closer to Middletown and it kept me company all the way home to Fairfield.

Stay in touch and you can join us on one of our local rides or one of our winter trips to the coast. When the real mountains thaw out, I like to head up your way. You can show me all your secret roads up there.........

Ride safe,

John
