Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
Afternoon all,
Everytime I log on I'm incited to post something on this thread. So, here goes! I'm a long term rider from Scarborough, England. I have two Triumph motorcycles, a '99 t955i Speed Triple and an '06 t955i Tiger. I tend to use the Tiger for longer runs: short runs, up to 300 miles a day, I'll use the Triple. I'm a member of the Quick Quacks, a group of bike riding medical professionals. I suppose I should say that I'm a legally sanctioned Drug Dealer and a Truss fitter by trade. This year was the tenth anniversary of the Quick Quacks so we had a go at riding End to End in Britain: Lands End to John O'Groats. Purely by coincidence my partner, Jackie, and I will be riding a similar sort of route accross France in September. i.e. from Belgium to the Pyrenees. She has a Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm (Super Hawk in the US?). As you may imagine, if you've caught the weather news for the UK recently, I've had a lot of practice riding in the rain. I'm now bored of that so I've been looking for holidays in desert locations! This weekend my son, David (9), and I will be going to bag some more landmarks in the Round Britain Rally. A mad event where you ride round the country taking photos of your bike and the chosen landmark. By now you must all be asleep, so I'm stop. Keep it shiny side up. I |

Hello all
I'm brand new here from Central Vally Riders.com, so if you don't like me blame Jester and UFO ST, it's their fault I found this place! I'm in Clovis, Ca. I've owned several bikes sence I started riding on the streets in back in 83, KZ 650-GPZ 550-FZR 1000 , current ride is a 93 GSX R 1100(see photo), and I'm living proof that not all squids die young some of us do grow up and buy helmets .

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
Hi, new here. I lived in Socal for 25 years but now live in Fresno, Ca. Growing up in Barstow, I've ridden Dirt bikes since I was old enough to kick start one, never really getting into street bikes(I Had a Thing for V8's, and couldn't afford a Boss Hoss
) I moved up here to Fresno in 98, and got a Job working for Iron Horse Corral making the fenders for the 99-01 Indian Chiefs. When Gilroy Indian went Rubber Side Up, I stayed with IHC, which went back to its roots making the Fenders and Gas Tanks for the 32-53 Indian Scout, Chief and Four. Working around all this Vintage Iron changed my way of thinking, and I got the V-Twin bug... Unfortunately, at least in my Bosses eyes, I went with a Harley Davidson, a 2004 XL1200C. I've had the Sporty since mid March and have already put 4700 miles on it. I did the Fresno to Lee Vining via Yosemite run both ways a couple days after the gates opened, and am now looking for more, More, MORE!!! ![]() ![]() I look forward to meeting & riding with Pashnit! Hi, I'm Jose I'm a Pisces and spend a lot of time daydreaming about riding. Hahaha!
I own a 2004 Hayabusa and a 2004 Rune. I'm originally from California but haven't lived there since 1994. Been all over the place while in the USAF and later as a Military Contractor. I have been in Iraq since April and was in Sarajevo, Bosnia before that. My bikes are in storage and I am miserable. This site helps to keep me sane while living vicariously through all of the fellow riders here. |

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
Ok I'm following the template....
Hi, new here. I lived in N. CA for most of my 44 years - my first bike was an HD 883 Sportster and I rode in CA before Helmets were required. I didn't ride at all from 1991 to 1995 then I rode dirt bikes from 1995 to 1998. In 2001, I met my fiance, who rode a 1979 HD Shovelhead - we went for a ride and I was reminded just how much I love to ride, so in August 2005 I bought my HD FXDL. I will post pics later. Next weekend some friends and I are going out hwy 12 to S 49 to E108 to S 395 ending in Bridgeport, probably do the June Lake Loop. Then the next day N395 to 89 to W4 back down the hill and home. The following weekend back up Hwy 4 to Arnold for a campout with a bunch of girlfriends. The last weekend of July, leaving friday to hwy 12 to N49 all the way to Graeagle to 89 to Quincy, get up Saturday take 89 over through Lassen National Park, over the peak through Burney, Mt. Shasta then North a bit on Hwy 5 to the Gazelle Callahan cut off road, which connects to S Hwy 3, then W299 to the coast and home the next day. WOO HOO!! I am so excited!!! I love all the travel reports and the pics that people post of their trips, so I will add some of my own when I return. Cindi |

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
I just moved to Folsom from Ridgecrest. I've been a member of the www.socalsvriders.com board for a while but now I'm even further north than I was before, so need to find some more local rides and riders...
