Hello to everyone

I would like to say hi to everyone. I am new to riding again. it has been 25 yrs. since I have been on a motorcycle and finally did it. I am sportsterguy. I live in the foothills of the Sierra foot hills here in Calaveras Co. in CA.

I ride a 2004 sportster XL 1200 C and just completed the motorcycle safety class. Soon as I learn how to get around I will try to add a pic.....This is all new to me so I'll try to do my best....Thanks

Hello Carol and Welcome. We hope the forum can be useful for you in your search. I'm sorry for your loss, it's hard to understand the passion of riding when there is such identifiable risk. Should there be new laws? New required education? Many riders think so. Others, not. You'll find a broad spectrum of thinking here, and for the most part this forum deals with issues like this with respect and reflection. You'll hear not only from riders, but from safety instructors and Law Enforcement members. Good luck to you and lay in a thread when you are ready.

Hello, my name is Robby. I ride a Harley Road King on the road when time permits around kid commitments. I also trail ride and race a Honda CRF450X in the desert of Southern California and Baja. I have been riding since I was 6 years old.

Hi all....newbie from Indiana here. I have been riding since I could get my permit at age 15. I currently ride a 2005 Honda ST1300. I hang out at ST-owners.com a lot and another member mention a group buy over here, so I thought I would come check the site and group buy out.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

I can't believe I haven't posted on this site before. I guess I am one of those lurkers. I too have been hanging out at the ST-Owners site, but I like the local aspect of Pashnit.
I live in Lake County, and ride a '06 ST 1300, but I have kept my old '72 Beemer for now. (or until my wife reclaims the garage space)
There is a lot of great riding around here, and I look forward to joining up with some of you out there on the twisties.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi everybody, I just bought my new bike. I am very excited about it. It is a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R my other bike is a 2001 Harley 1200 Sportster I was at the Cycle Gear store and a very nice guy told me about this web site. There seems to be alot of great info. on this site. I do not know a great deal about sport bikes. I want to have fun on it, but at the same time be very careful. Is there any experienced sport bike rides that have experience on the 998 cm. 1000 size bikes that can give me safety advice that might be helpful in my learning curve. I am not asking about trying to scare me to death. Just things that might help in learning about how to ride and enjoy this type of bike safely. A little back ground about myself. I started riding motorcycles at the age of eight. I rode dirt bikes mostly. off and on thru the years I rode some street bikes. I have not been riding much for the last 15 years. I have always wanted this type of bike but when I was younger I did not feel I would ride this type of bike safely enough. My planes are to get all the correct riding gear witch I have mostly already bought. and take this bike out to the track and also ride it on the streets. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask advice on this type of bike, but I am open to learn as much as possible about riding this type of bike. Once again I am not asking about horror stories, just common sense riding on this type of Motorcycle. Thank you, Chance
