My name is Clark, I'm 50, and I've chosen the handle Sticky Throttle because of a stuck throttle experience on my sport tourer a few years ago. I live in Utah and have two bikes, a 2001 Honda Valkyrie Interstate and a 2003 FJR1300. I've lurked on this board for a while and it looks like a great forum. I hope you'll welcome me aboard; I'm usually more of a listener than a comment-generator. Even so, when I comment I try to offer something intelligent, so I while my participation may be limited I hope it will be of value. I grew up riding dirt bikes and did a bit of competitive motocross racing, then got out of bikes to go to college, marry, and raise a family (went straight for a while ), but got back into motorcycling 10 years ago. I learned a lot of skills on dirt bikes during the 70s and realize now that the thrill of motorcycling never really left, it was just dormant for a while. Now, I consider myself a conscientious rider, concerned with safety, the good of the sport, and with being a motorcyclist rather than a biker (if you know what I mean)--yet, to each his own. I ride for the sport of it and pure enjoyment, not for the social scene or the image/identity associated with a particular brand or model....Looking forward to learning and participating on your site... |

Good Morning to all fellow bickers. I am new to the Tahoe/California/Nevada area. Although raised in the CA bay area I moved to the Phoenix area in 1981 with Intel Corp. Having spent 28 years in hell I am glad to finally be free from extreme heat and crowds. I have riden my bikes all over Arizona including trips to Las Vegas, Laughlin and Rocky Point Mexico by myself, with friends and with large groups/poker runs. As of January 1, 2009 I became the owner of Meadowcliff Restaurant in Coleville, CA located on US Hwy 395. We have fellow bikers stop by often on their travels up and down Hwy 395. As they know we serve outstanding food and are proud of our quick service allowing them to get back on the road quickly. All of you are invited to stop by if you are ever in the area on one of your great rides. I am also looking for some new cool biker buds to go riding with. If anyone is planning a ride in the area please let me know. I'd love to join you. I can be contacted via cell phone at 530-208-6470 or e-mail at markontop@execs.com.

Hello My Brothers:
Quick intro. I have been "pashnit" about riding for over 37 years. No I'm not real old just started riding young. I have always loved motorcycle road racing and have been involved in the sportbike world since its infancy. Currently riding an '06 ZX-10R which I've have modified quite a bit. Am located in the Sacramento area so anyone interested in riding let me know. I am currently planning for AFM racing. Just finishing up my race schools so I am somewhat competitive out there. This I did start late in life but when you are running a business you miss out on alot. Anyway, I absolutely love the brotherhood of two wheels and can't wait to get a full season of riding done this summer. |

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
Hi All,
I've been lurking here on and off for a while, and decided to join today so that I can participate in this great community. Like so many, I rode when I was young... then took 15 years off to raise a family. My re-entry back into motorcycling was courtesy of my 2002 Nomad 1500, which was followed about 18 moths later by my beloved ST1300. I have a passion for long distance riding, and in the process of putting a combined 65,000 miles on my bikes in the past 3 years I have crossed the country 6 times E-W and 2 times N-S. Along the way I have managed to ride many great roads, such as the Beartooth Pass, the Tail of the Dragon, the Devil's Highway (the former US666 in AZ) along with many other enjoyable roads that I have stumbled on. I'm sure that I will learn of many other great roads to visit through the experiences of you all. Chad |

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
Hi All,
I was introduced to this site through my husband ImNoSaint. I am a Harley Rider! I have a Sporty 1200L and love it. This is my second bike. My first was a CBR 600RR but that was just too much bike for me. Now me and the mister ride around as a mixed couple and nobody knows how to wave to us. I am 43, a mother of 5 wonderful children and love to be outdoors. I make a living by teaching in a child development center. I keep my sanity by taking trips on my bike, or kayaking. |

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...
My name is David. I live in Maine. Today is very rainy here and I happened onto this forum while just browsing around. I belong to 2 other forums that are Harley Davidson based. I kind of felt like I wanted to widen my interest in more riding and riders. My choice of ride Is a 2003 VRSCA also called a V-rod. I love to drive it like I stole it. I also like to cruise on some lengthy day rides with my sweetie.
Any and all questions about Maine or my bike welcomed. I am not bashful. I am also not always to bright. So...good morning to you forum folks. |

Introduce yourself here...
Greetings,
I found your site as I am a graphic artist. I have been retained by my cousin who has started a motorcycle training course in Alameda County to make a flyer for him. (Advanced Motorcycle Safety & Training- 575 Marina Blvd., San Leandro, CA Phone: (510) 816-9714 Fax: (510) 864-9423 ADVMCTRNG@comcast.net) You have some AMAZING road pics on your site. I have subscribed to enable me to use one of these pics for my flyer. I hope I read that right when I paid the dues, lol. I also hope to have my cousin come to your site as well and subscribe~! ~Dava~ |

Thumping Along
I'm new to the forum. Just bought and am riding a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard S40 - a thumper! Haven't ridden for a number of years, so it's a good bike for a women to get re-acquainted with riding again - easy to handle and fast enough. For anyone living in El Dorado County around the Georgetown area, I'm looking for someone to ride with on weekends. Would love to hook up and explore the Gold Country, as well as the Calif. coast. It's so good to be on the back of a bike again! - Chris
