Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi!

My name is Jerry and I am a motorcyclist. I live in the Bay Area and ride a 2005 Yamaha FJR1300. I've been riding a motorcycle in California since 1981. My special corner of the motorcycle world is long distance riding. I've been doing IBA rides and endurance rallies for the past 7 years. This year I rode in the Iron Butt Rally. Looking forward to chatting with you all here, and sharing some good info.

Jerry

Jethros first post, Good day all!

Hi Im new to the Pashnit forum, Im not very computer savvy so please bear with me. Ive never been on a computer forum ever... well here goes. My name is Jethro. Im 51 years of age. I live in a little town in the Sierra Nevada mountains called Alta. It is between Sacramento and Reno on highway 80. Elevation is 3400 feet at our house. The terrain around here is heavily forested canyons, lots of ups and downs. And lots of fun to ride on my 2003 suzuki Sv 1000. Its one of the naked ones in silver. Its lightly modified and loves to be ridden. It is my best bike yet of the countless bikes Ive ridden since my first one, a 1970 ct70 back in yes 1970. Ive had my motorcycle license since 1977. Many happy miles with plenty to go. I like riding no matter the reason, it could be for fun or even a hardware run, its all good. Moto camping is one of my favorites and I try to do a couple of weeks or more on the road each year. Its always fun to hang out in campgrounds around the campfire, chatting about motorcycles and enjoying a couple of cold ones. Im looking forward to linking up with some folks that like to get out on the road and have some fun. Well thats probably enough of an introduction for now, hope to see you all on the road sometime. Take care. jethro b

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi everyone. My name is Ron and I have been riding since about 1971. I live in Nederland Colorado and have a motorcycle rental business in Boulder Colorado. The business allows me to choose from whatever is available that day which is usually fun. I found out about Pashnit from some links off advrider. Then I heard that R5_350 was saying nice things about me so I thought I should check it out. This looks like another great motorcycle forum. Glad I made my way here. You can check me out at www.wdsma.com.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hey y'all! Glad to be here!

Not sure if this is the place to do it but I thought I would give it a try.

I am a Harley riding chick looking for other chicks to ride with. Tried clubs and discovered I dont like riding in huge groups. Ive been riding for a couple of years, but am by no means a great rider. Want to be though!

So Im looking for one or two buddies who love long day rides and back roads.

Did find one great friend for a while, but she has had some health issues and is unable to ride anymore.

I live in the East Bay, CA so anyone in the surrounding area would be awesome.

Thanks for letting me post!

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

I think my Triumph is a good all around bike. Previously had a 1968 Bonneville. So can apreciate the new technology. Like to alter anything I have, cant leave it alone. Do my own welding and painting. No major mechanic work. Researching a Busa for a sport tourer.
Thanks

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi Ya'll. Been meaning to join for years. Today was the day. Why SpudBoy? I was trying to think of a name when a band from the 70's came to me. Devo. If you're old enough to have listened to them you'll get it. If you're older than Devo, well, ride on Brethren!
