2cents Hello fellow riders

I ride an 07 Yamaha 650 v-star classic.
I just recently adjusted the valves
I think I might have knocked my carbs out of adjustment.
The rear exaust pipe is backfireing
does anyone know how to adjust the carbs on this bike?
It seems the rear cylinder is running rich.
My bike also has a hyper charger air filter, don't know if that matters
any help would be great, thanks
Jae

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hello all. I'm Tom from Nevada and I just bought a 2002 BMW R1150RT. I found this site when I was looking for an article on freeway riding. What I have read so far has really helped me. I'm a noob on the street. I've been riding quads for the last 15 yrs and wanted to try the street. I had a Suzuki 550 when I was in my 20's.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi all...

I'm on the 55+ side and have been riding off and on since I was 14 or so - not steady - Army, kids and life in the way some years but always had a bike close by. Last 10 years or so have revolved around Triumph's.

Currently have a 2005 Rocket and a 2008 Tiger (Orange!) and absolutely love riding that. There will be fewer miles on the Rocket for the next few years thats for sure.

Now interesting in outfitting the Tiger for camping excursions. Hope to learn some from this site and hopefully get in on some of the group buy's.

I'm in the process of getting ready for winter here!

Take care!

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi Everybody,

As a retiree I have lots of time to pursue my new hobby (as of 9/1/09) which is exploring California on my SYM RV 250 motor scooter. So far I've logged 4,500 miles and will leave for Reno tomorrow. I know, I know it isn't a motorcycle but I'm sure enjoying the ride. Maybe something bigger in the future. Would like to hear from one and all, but particularly those on other scooters ie Suzuki Burgman 650.

Be safe.

Hello Pashnit!

I cant tell you how happy I am to have found this site! I love riding and have been a rider for many years, but I am a responsible rider and want to ride with other mature and responsible riders.

I currently own a 1986 Ninja 1000R, its breaking my heart right now trying to get it back on the road, but its getting there. I am currently in the process of buying a 2001 Yamaha FZ1.

I hope to be riding soon and look foward to meeting other folks who's "Pashnit" about riding!

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Just wanted to say hey. Just was doing some surfing and remembered the sight from when I was involved with finding the lost rider a few months ago. I own a custom bike shop and a automotove repair and custom shop.Been riding pretty much since I was a kid. I love travel and have been putting some miles lately on my 2007 Ultra Classic. It has all the bells and whistles. Heated grips, GPS, XM radio and awesome stereo, heated gear and fairly custom with a 21" frt wheel and 18" rear Foose wheels. Just trying to get as many ideas as possible, for next years trip. I believe south to 10 and then west to Cali and then north and home.....probably a 3 week trip.
