Hello...MY name is Shannon and I currently live and ride in California. I have been riding sportbikes for 3 years or so and love it! I'm 31 years old, a former Marine for 8 years and currently work as a contractor in Afghanistan. I am planning to make it to track eventually, seeing as I live 20 minutes from willow springs here in California. Anyway, if anyone has some good spots to ride by all means drop me a line. I'm not a motorcycle rider (although I photograph them quite often). I'm actually a car person, but love to drive on twisty roads. I've been watching this site (well, the maps one) for quite a while. I'm really interested in reading about some new places to go driving.

Hey all,...
new to this post so let me introduce myself. I turned 65 last March, got my Medicare card then, and bought my very FIRST motorcycle in April. It is a 1986 Honda Goldwing GL 1200 Aspencade TRIKE. Finally got my license this past November. Yes, it took me all summer of praciticing and getting up enough courage to try it, but I got it on my first try!! So far I am haveing a BLAST!!! I wish I woud have done this years earlier!! So now my ride is at a motorcycle garage in another town for winter storage, and I am going absolutley nuts waiting for spring so I can ride again. I did some short 1,2 hour trips last summer but am planning some longer day trips for this year. Can't wait to share with you all. Back atcha later. |

Hello:
Saw Donna's thread re Spain tour. I'm headed there for 2 weeks in April. Liked the pictures and wanted to ask a few map questions. Spent a month in Spain on a used BSA 650 purchased from the Police Auction in 1969 and am looking forward to the return trip. I have my "original" TR6R, but more often opt for my 71 BMW 75/5 (it has electric start!) GLB |

My name is Lorenzo. I made an account on here not for my love of motorcycling, as I do not cycle. However, I love exploring goaty, rural, one lane roads out in the middle of nowhere in California in my small Ford. In my search for information on Google about certain roads, I found a lot of links to this site. This site has a wealth of information about roads all over California, and I hope to learn a lot about untraveled roads I am interested in and learn about new ones.
