Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hello
My name is Jim. I signed up primarily to get Moto Roads. Im 58, basically retired and have been riding bikes ( dirt/road ) sense I was 5. I still ride in the dirt and recently moved up from my sporty to a road king. My wife is riding with me more now that I have the Road King. Any chance to use the bike instead of the car is object 1, even if it means two trips. I ride with a group of guys from the OC area and a few from out side the area. Some of us know Bill W. and his Doctor, if you do not, don't ask :-), kind of an insider thing.

Introduction - Greg from Texas

I grew up on a Suzuki 125 Enduro riding the backroads and the woods. That bike was made like iron because I don't know how it survived my teenage years!

Then I bought a Yamaha Turbo 650 and used to beat the big Kawasaki 900's off the line...at least for the first block. That was a fun bike.

I had a no-bike drought for about 20 years when in 2007 I bought a Suzuki Bandit 1250. I rediscovered the love of two wheels and have been having a blast! I've been a member of another board for some years and a guy over there mentioned the Galfer Brake Line deal so I came a runnin'. This is a great board and I'm glad I found my way over here.

Hello All,
Don Holcomb(AKA 65YamDog here)(XS2Elf on XS11.com) I have been lurking for severall years now on very many forums. I am a US Army veteran entered the army from Hurst, TX retired to Duncanville, TX after 13.5 years (couldn't make it to 20) due to the Medical retirement ( Multiple Sclerosis ). Me, Annette Funicello, Richard Pryor have had some problems doing what we love to do, I like riding, fixing motorcycles. I am free on the road, wind in my hair blasting me back if I going too fast! I had an XS11 SF the pre Midnight Special and now I have a For_Real MNS, 1980 XS1100LG. Sort of a fresh Barn-Find. It has 1992 license plates and a 10 year old coctail brewing in the Gas tank. smells sorta like paint-thinner. How exiting, I think I know how to clean the carbs right (3-pete and continue as needed). Now OFF/on to get the Tank drained rinsed and treated. Thanks for having me,
Donnie H

Hi - New posting from NZ

Hi all.
Have been following Pashnit for some time, but now finding things to order.
I live in Auckland, NZ and have been riding a BMW F800GS for almost 3 years: 36000km so far. Enjoy gravel roads with scenery the best - lots of this in New Zealand. Also enjoy endurance events, eg Rusty Nuts Motorcycle Club (NZ), that holds a event each October: 1000miles (1600km) in 24 hours - 5 done so far!
Cheers - Peter

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hello all. I'm new to the thread. I stumbled upon this sight while searching for dirt track photos from the 70's. I ride a 2002 harley ultra classic for the street, and a honda xr650l for the woods. Have been an avid enthusiast for close to 50 years, and passionate about flat track racing. Also would love to own a Moto Guzzi some day soon. Thanks, Tom Norton....
