Greetings all. New subscriber here. (Just what I needed, another good motorcycle forum! As if I don't already spend enough time on F800.org, BMW sport touring, sport tourning dot net, adv rider, etc etc etc) Anyway, this looks like a great site.

Looking forward to brousing, enjoying and learning. My bikes, 2008 BMW F800ST and 2009 R1200RT. Home town: Portland OR.

Hi All,
Have been googling touring info for that past 8 months and keep ending up on this site so I figured it was time to join. A buddy from work and I have been planning a cross country trip from central ma to my buddies parents in Carlsbad ca. Have been researching for over a year now and cant wait to leave July 14th planning on taking 7 days to get out there with 500 mile days on avg. then having the wife and kids meet me there for 10 days then back on the bike for a 6 day ride back. stopping at Mt Rushmore on the way out and the grand canyon on the way back for an overnight. I ride a 95 Vmax now and picked up a K8 Busa with only 2500 miles on it for the ride my buddy is taking an 08 Victory Kingpin.

When do you plan to go?...it's no fun in the wet, but in the dry even a streetbike can do it.

So I'm a week and a half into my new FJR1300. (It's a new 2010.) I'm loving it so far! Coming off a 600cc crotch-rocket so this is quite a difference. I live in so-cal and have always snooped around the Pashnit site so I thought I would take the plunge. Most of the guys I work with ride Harley's so I guess I may look a bit out of place on rides with them. Oh well...it's about the miles in the saddle right?
Anyways, thanks for having me!

G'day all been riding motorcycles for over 30 years had lots of bikes current ride is an ST1300 do lots of LD riding hope to learn a bit from all the knowledge here

Hello from Michigan. I ride a BMW R1150RT and when traveling I pull a Time Out Slipstream camper behind my bike. I tinker with basket case bikes. I currently have a 1976 Kawasaki 100 sitting in my carport awaiting a bit of work. We have snow on the ground now but that doesn't mean I am done riding. When the pavement is dry I ride all through the winter. Looking forward to hearing from other moto campers and travelers!

I'm Allan, I've been on two wheels non-stop since 16 yrs old. I love motorcycle travel and have been fortunate to have done quite a bit of it. My wife no longer rides with me so I'm hoping to do a few more adventurous rides in the years ahead.
I've followed a couple photo journals on this forum, so I know there are plenty of other riders that share my passions for two wheel adventure. I will admit that the last big trip a took with a life long riding friend did include trailer time. To me that translated to more time on dirt roads in Colo. rather than interstate miles.
I've done several track days on my own bikes and in the very distant passed even did a little mx. I look forward to talking bikes and bike travel.
