Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Wow, Pashnit has really changed since the last time I visited! Remembering how great the content was when it was free (whenever that was.... it been a while!) I decided to go ahead and pay so I can get access to the information again. It's nice to see that there's also a thriving community here. I don't have much time to spend with yet another online community, but I'll try to participate from time to time.

Cheers,
Joe in Oakland, California

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hello all. I've been reading Pashnit for some time now. Thought I'd finally join in. I've just bought an FJR, and will now sell my Connie. I often contemplate how really lucky I am to be a resident of Northern California AND a motorcycle owner. What a fortunate situation, huh?
A brief note about the FJR. Incredible machine! I took the ride from Sacramento down to Sonora on 49, and then 108 over Sonora Pass to 395, and then up 395 to return over Monitor Pass to 89, the Mormon Immigrant Trail, and then back home. ABS is fantastic. Horsepower is great. Handling is amazing -considering the size of the bike. I could go on, but this is my initial post, so I must use some restraint. Simply put, I'm one giddy old dude with a new toy. Thanks everyone.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Just got back from a ride "over the river, thru the woods, and down the coast". As with any ride it was great. Had my bike for 14 months and just went over 18,000. Monterey, Tahoe, San Francisco, Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, and more. I love living in the North Sac Valley.... All the great rides are close. Anyone going to Bikefest in Vegas this year? I went last year and it was great...ended up in Street Vibrations (Reno) by way of Zion National Park and Salt Lake City. Ridin' and Lovin' it!!!

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

I just wanted to introduce myself, and tell you about the upcoming trip, and suddenly, I'm surrounded by a bunch of little yellow faces; smiling, frowning, crying, painting, waiting for dinner,....
I've been riding for about 35 years, give or take a few. The current steeds are a '85 Alazzurra 650 and a '96 Ducati 900. I'll be taking the Duck for a round the country trip begining next Tuesday (Laguna Seca MotoGP, the long way around).
That's all

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi All,

I'm a relatively new member of Pashnit, and have never posted...so...if you'll bear with me...I'll give it a shot.

I'm a recently converted Harley rider that found I was, in fact, born a sport touring rider. I just bought a brand new FJR1300, and man is that a rush! Anyway...I love touring and the twisties too.

As luck would have it, Yamaha recalled the touring trunk for the 2007 FJR and I have a 5 state trip coming up with only my saddlebags. Can anyone recommend a good tailbag?

Thanks

Jeff

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Hi, I am getting my '07 R1200GS in a few days. Moved from Vancouver to San Fran in March, and really looking forward to the perfect riding conditions here...interested in an Alaska trip someday, and a coast-to-coast trek too.

Re: Introductions - Introduce yourself here...

Good Morning everyone. I joined in 2005, I'm just getting around to posting. What has changed since 2005, yu ask? Retirement has happened and it is highly recommended.
I ride a 2005 R 1200 RT and reside in the Folsom, CA area. I have a riding buddy who is very active with Pashnit and has ridden with some Pashnit members on local rides.
I expect to be more active now and in the future.
Looking forward to participating in Pashnit.
