05 Suzuki GSX-R 1000: 2700 Miles and the rwhp is still climbing

I purchased this bike about 3 weeks ago, dynoed it twice and it does not stop amazing me(it will also get your full attention if you are not careful and grab a hand full of the get yourself a ticket trigger). If anyone out there loves sportbike riding in my oppinion this is the one you are sure to keep having fun on for years to come. (experienced rider please).

My "old" 02 model is more than I'll ever need. Nice bike.

sounds like a pretty awesome bike; the motorcycle press seems to be falling all over itself praising it. Is it a tricky bike to ride? Obviously not a beginner bike, but with a couple of years experience, do you think it makes a good choice, or should it be left to the experts?

Lots of Power on the new 05 Gixxer. There's is one thing you'll have to agree with me LT. you ain't gonna use all that power. I test drove one of those because those titanium exhaust impressed me when I first saw it. I purchased an 05 Hayabusa instead. My duties are strictly touring and still sticks excellent on the apex. 744 miles in my bike in 3 riding days. I only got one thing to say. Uraah

If you understand what power to weight ratio means before you start riding it is not tricky at all to ride. It is still stock (no rear sets, etc.) and it pretty much drives it self though the curves at palamor. I did replace the tires though ( polit powers, don't like the feel of the battleaxes). Also you must understand how to shift your weigh because it will make you OVER confidient by the way it handles. I am not Mat Mladin but I do know my limitations.

Remember: 15,000 dollars and 15,000 miles does not make one an experiened rider.lol

Re: 05 Suzuki GSX-R 1000: 2700 Miles and the rwhp is still climbing

I'm planning on getting one as soon as I sell my 600rr. Everyone I talk to that owns one says the power is great and its very manageable, not like the bikes use to be yrs ago . Some were fast but very twitchy, but before I buy it I have to test ride it, thats the problem I've got myself into with this 600rr, I bought it and I did'nt even ask to test ride because I had prevoiusly owned 2 other hondas.
Congratulations on the bike, enjoy
