Cruising The Leggett Section of Highway 1 is one of those experiences riders dream about. Starting north of Fort Bragg, CA the last ~45 miles before Leggett unfold through lush redwood forest, endless deserted curves that challenge and reward with every bend in the pavement.

It’s no wonder The Leggett Section of Highway 1 earns a spot on many motorcyclists’ personal “Top Five” lists.

Here, Highway 1 truly feels like a road made for motorcyclists— multiple tight hairpins, flowing cadence of super-fast corners, and blind turns that demand focus and finesse. Each corner: set up on the outside line, wait for the see-through, hit the 50% mark, release the brakes and roll on the giggle juice. This is a stretch of road where you can always see the next corner.

Between twists, keep an eye out for hidden treasures like the Mendocino Redwood Company grove (You've been blasting by it for the last 30 years), just off the road near Cottaneva Creek — a quiet place to stretch your legs and soak in some towering redwoods. Always deserted and worth a stop.
